Classical & Jazz Guitarist - Miami

Biography

Alfredo Rivero received a bachelor degree in classical guitar from the Amadeo Roldan Conservatory in La Havana, Cuba. He was granted a jazz music scholarship and studied for one year in the jazz school ARPEG in Paris, France. Alfredo has toured in 25 countries with his band Los Sauces. In 1994, the most important concerts of his career took place in his homeland of Cuba. He toured his native country playing to sold-out stadiums. Alfredo defected from Cuba with his siblings and band mates and relocated to Mexico. He has produced for and played with many Grammy award-winning artists. As a producer/promoter he promoted the last concert of the great Celia Cruz in Mexico City, Mexico. Over 10,000 people attended the show. In 2004 he moved to the USA and his band Los Sauces released the Avane CD for the Universal Latin Label. The CD and video received heavy airplay in Latin markets and the video was in heavy rotation on MTV Latino. Alfredo currently resides in Miami Florida. He is busy as a composer, programmer and freelance musician and producer. Alfredo is working for several film and video production companies in Tampa, Miami and Los Angeles. He fronts a jazz project and plays in a traditional Afro-Cuban band in and around the South Florida area.
